This year, Natural Health’s squad of editors and experts came together to review close to two thousand of the best eco-friendly “good-for-you” beauty products and “only 45 picks withstood the rigorous testing”. According to New Beauty, “the competition was tough”, and that’s why we’re extremely proud to announce that our Red Currant Rapid Infusion Masque won for Best Mask!
“Three minutes. That’s all it takes for this thick mask with exfoliating glycolic, lactic, citric and tartaric acids (extracted from pineapple, passion fruit and grape) to smooth and tighten” says Natural Beauty.
What else does Natural Beauty love about our speedy masque? The fact that it’s “free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals and artificial colors”.
Now that’s natural beauty!
Let’s face it, while slathering on sunscreen is a must, it can also be a bit of a chore. So what’s the solution to making sunscreen application less frustrating? Answer: Our Tropical Vanilla Body SPF. “Smells like a Girl Guide cookie and blends easily” says Elle Canada.
After-sun care is also a must but it’s not always something we make a priority. For “instantly gratifying results”, Elle Canada suggests our Coconut Firming Body Lotion. “This body lotion smells ridiculously good but in the most non-clogging coconut-y way ever, and surprisingly, the tightening effect is the real deal. Also, my skin looks way better the next day when I sloppily apply it the night before” says Elle Canada’s health & beauty editor, Katherine Flemming.

At the Green Spa, our Team loves seeking out some great DIY recipes for relaxation you can experience at home. Here is a great article we found that offers an excellent recipe you can use at home to make your own Lavender Bath Salts. This is the perfect treat you can easily make and create some time to escape for an hour with a very relaxing Lavender Bath. Enjoy!
Let’s face it, in todays fast-paced world we tend to get caught up in the moment and forget to take some time for ourselves. After a long day, running a hot bath and lighting some candles just might be the fix you need.
Bath salts are the perfect add-in to creating a relaxing & peaceful spa day at home. Take it a step further by mixing in a few drops of lavender oil to create an aromatherapy experience, that will eliminate stress, ease muscle pain and reduce anxiety. This easy to make mixture will help you distress even on your busiest days.
Here’s what you will need:
- 3 cups Epsom salt
- 2 cups sea salt
- 2 tbsp lavender oil
- 1/2 cup baking soda
First mix together the two salts into a large bowl. Then add in your lavender oil (you can swap this out for another scent like jasmine). Add in your baking soda and continue mixing until you reach a clump free texture. You can store this in any jar or bottle to your liking. Enjoy!
