February is often painted in pinks and reds — hearts in every window, flowers at every corner, and reminders everywhere to say “I love you.” But love in February isn’t just about romantic dinners or chocolate boxes. It’s about connection, compassion, and care — for others and for ourselves. When we share that we care about your whole life, we mean it! As a Transformational Change Management Coach, I see every day how emotional wellness, mindset, and nervous system health shape not only individual lives, but entire communities and even schools.

This is the month of Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, and something equally powerful but often overlooked: self-love. Have you heard of PS I LOVE YOU Day? It’s a reminder that before we pour into others, we must also tend to our own hearts — emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Because here’s the truth:

💗 Heart health and mental health are deeply connected.

🧠 When stress is high, the heart feels it.

❤️ When the heart is overwhelmed, the mind follows.

That’s why February is the perfect time to pause and ask yourself two essential questions:

When was the last time you checked your heart?

When was the last time you checked your mindset?

Love Looks Different for Everyone — And That’s the Point

Valentine’s Day celebrates romantic love.

Galentine’s Day honors friendships, chosen family, and community.

PS I LOVE YOU Day celebrates and exposes Affirmative Self-love practices, the ones only found in the mirror when no one is around. It asks us to slow down, set boundaries, and extend grace inward.

All of it matters.

Love isn’t just a feeling — it’s a practice. It shows up in how we speak to ourselves, how we manage stress, how we reset after hard days, and how we create safe spaces for others to do the same.

PS I Love You Day: A Reminder That Words Matter

The second Friday in February is PS I Love You Day — a powerful movement centered on mental health awareness, kindness, connection, and suicide prevention. It encourages people to lead with empathy, check in on one another, and create environments where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.

It’s about more than saying “I love you.”

It’s about showing it — through support, through presence, through action. And it is about learning the language of self-love or self-loyatly practices. THIS IS THE FOUNDATION of our organizations. We are rooted in Structure, Integrity, Purpose and Spirituality – and learning how to put ourselves first, maybe for the very first time in our lives.

Let’s be honest. When people hear Green Spa New York, one of the first things that comes to mind is couples massage. And we love that — because it is one of our specialties.

Couples massage is about connection.

It’s about slowing down together.

It’s about choosing presence in a city that never stops. It’s about celebrating a healthy ritual together because dining out is nice to do, but this is special.
